Website Privacy Policy
Last Modified: February 5, 2025
This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) governs all websites, web properties and mobile applications, including widgets, applications and other mobile interactive features (collectively the “Site”) owned and controlled by Stand Together Chamber of Commerce (“we” or “us”). This Privacy Policy specifies the types of Personally Identifiable Information (as defined below) that we gather while you are visiting the Site, as well as ways in which we process and disseminate such Personally Identifiable Information.
Your privacy is important to us. We comply with the privacy laws and regulations of the United States of America. We make no representation that this Site is governed by the laws of other nations, or that the Site or any part thereof is appropriate or available for use in other jurisdictions. Individuals who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and at their own risk, and are responsible for complying with all local laws, rules and regulations. By using this Site, visitors from outside of the United States of America acknowledge that this Site is subject to U.S. laws and regulations and waive any claims that may arise under their own national laws.
We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove provisions of this Privacy Policy. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted here, and we encourage you to check back from time to time to ensure continuing familiarity with the most current version of our Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Your use of this Site constitutes your acceptance to be bound by this Privacy Policy without limitation, qualification or change. If at any time you do not accept all the terms and conditions contained herein, immediately discontinue use of this Site.
What Information We Collect
Stand Together Chamber of Commerce collects two types of information from users: Non-Personally Identifiable Information” (or “Non-PII) and “Personally Identifiable Information” (or “PII”). Non-PII is aggregated information, demographic information, IP addresses, and any other information that does not reveal your specific identity. PII is information that identifies or can identify you as an individual (such as contact information – zip code, email address and demographic information).
Non-Personally Identifiable Information — When you visit and interact with the Site, Stand Together Chamber of Commerce and third parties with whom we have contracted to provide services to us may collect Non-PII (for example, a catalog of the Site pages you visit). Non-PII is anonymous and does not identify you personally. Non-PII is generally collected through the Site from four different sources: Internet Protocol addresses and web logs; cookies; pixel tags and other similar technologies; and other Non-PII that you voluntarily provide.
Aggregate Information: Our Site is set up to collect and report aggregate information. Aggregate information is data we collect about the use of our Site or about a group or category of services or users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed. This Privacy Policy does not restrict what we can do with aggregate information.
Internet Protocol Address: We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you access the Internet. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users’ movement through our site, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the Site, and deliver customized, personalized content.
“Cookies”: Our Site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site. Cookies are pieces of information that are used for record-keeping purposes at many websites. Your browser probably accepts cookies, since they avoid duplication and help remember information. If you would prefer not to receive cookies, you can alter the configuration of your browser to refuse cookies. If you choose to have your browser refuse cookies, you will not be able to use some areas of our Site. We may also use “Web beacons” or “clear GIFs” which are small, invisible images that may be used on our Site or in emails relating to our Site to collect certain information about activity on our Site. In addition, when you view a video on our Sites, a third party may also set a “flash cookie” on your computer. Removing and rejecting browser cookies does not necessarily affect third party flash cookies used in connection with our Sites.
We and our service providers may also use Pixel Tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, or similar means (collectively, “Pixel Tags”) in connection with some Site pages and HTML-formatted email messages to, among other things, compile aggregate statistics about Site usage and response rates. A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1×1), that is ordinarily not visible to Site visitors and may be associated with cookies on the visitors’ hard drives. Pixel Tags do not contain any PII and allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site, to deliver branded services, and to help determine the effectiveness of our promotional or advertising campaigns. When used in HTML-formatted email messages, Pixel Tags can tell the sender whether and when an email has been opened.
Information you voluntarily provide may also collect certain information (e.g., your geographical location, your genre preferences, etc.). When such information is not combined with any PII, such information is considered to be Non-PII, as it does not personally identify you or any other user. Additionally, we may aggregate PII in a manner such that the end-product does not personally identify you or any other user of the Site, for example, by using PII to calculate the percentage of our users who have a particular telephone area code. Such aggregate information is considered Non-PII for purposes of this Policy.
You may use many features of this Site without providing any PII. However, our registration forms and certain other parts of our Site require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, phone number, interests, and similar information. This is information you voluntarily give to us to register, create a profile, comment or otherwise use parts of our Site. By submitting personal information to us, you agree that we may use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Financial and Sensitive Information: We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers. Our Site may include links to other sites which do collect, use or store this type of information; be sure you review and agree with the privacy policies and terms of use for these other sites, as these may be different from our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this Policy restricts the sharing of aggregate information or information from which personal information has been rendered anonymous, both of which may be shared with third parties without your consent.
Security
We use reasonable steps to protect the PII of our users. Unfortunately, however, no internet activity is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information. All information provided to Stand Together Chamber of Commerce is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. We also protect your information by placing it on a secure portion of our Site that is only accessible by certain designated employees of Stand Together Chamber of Commerce. To protect the confidentiality of personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of our Site by any person using your password, including any penalties for violating our Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy (for example, you may be banned if a person uses your password to post inappropriate material). Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused.

In addition, we may provide the petitions, including your comments, name, city, and state to national, state or local leaders, stakeholders, or to the media.
